The purpose of the Hocking County Job Services Center is to continuously develop and deliver labor market services that meet the identified needs of the job seeker, workers , employees and
community service providers. Without this purpose, it is impossible for our community to stay on the competitive edge. We will help area employers expand their business by supplying them with
qualified workers equipped with the right skills to meet their business by supplying them with qualified workers equipped with the right skills to meet their industry specific needs.
We will support local economic growth, attracting jobs to the area by promoting and advertising the available skilled workforce of Hocking County. For an employer this means producing a quality product/ services with a highly productive, adaptable and skilled workforce in a high performance work organization where outcomes are driven by customer and market demands. To avoid duplicate services, to be cost efficient and to succeed, it requires all the partners: Economic developers, funding bodies, community based organizations, public agencies, unions and job seekers. It is for this reason that we have created an integrated, seamless delivery system to collaboratively serve in this effort The One Stop approach will be used to continually develop real applicable services to the workforce and employers of Hocking County.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES Employers who contact the Hocking County Job Services Center may request the following employment information: Personnel services including recruitment,
screening/interviewing of potential workers.
On-line posting of job openings with the ability to disclose or omit their identity to prospective employees. Consulting services include local area labor market, information business needs analysis and financial hiring incentives. On site staffing to assist employers with mass recruitment,. Linkage to educational and training resources to upgrade current workers. Job retention services available at no cost. Preparation of employment documents such as employe manuals/handbooks or business plans. Seminar presentations on employment related topics such as wage and labor information, etc. Individual and/or group testing and assessments to determine an applicants job skills, aptitudes , interests and values
JOB SEEKERS A job seeker that visits the Hocking County Job Service Center can expect to receive the following employment services: Information on careers, labor market trends and
and the availability of training and education programs. A listing of of openings, hiring requirements, wage ranges and job requirements. Job search assistance such as career counseling, job club resume
preparation and development of interviewing skills, aptitudes, interest and values upon which to structure a career path and develop employability plan. PARTNERING WITH THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE The Hocking Job Service Center has an employee out stationed at the Logan Hocking Chamber of Commerce. This Partnership enables the One-Stop to
be an intricate part of Economic Development in Hocking County. When dealing with employers that are looking to locate in Hocking County, the services offered by the One-Stop is assistance to those
individuals looking to either expand their business or starting a new business. the chamber partner will assist these people with development of their business plan. This Partnership has benefitted
all partners in this One-Stop.
