Hocking County is located in South Eastern Ohio at Coordinates 39.50 N by 82.48 W and was founded on March 1, 1818.  Hocking County is home to approximately 28,097 people as of the 2020 Census.  Hocking County is named after the Hocking River which comes from the Delaware Indian word for Bottle River.

Hocking County is divided into the townships Benton, Falls, Good Hope, Green, Laurel, Marion, Perry, Salt Creek, Starr, Ward and Washington.  The County seat is the City of Logan

WHEREAS, the Hocking County Board of Commissioners owns, operates and maintains a public sewer system for certain Hocking County residents. 

WHEREAS, the Hocking County Board of Commissioners is authorized to adjust the fees charged for providing said sewer services to Hocking County residents. 

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hocking County Commissioners hereby modify the amount to be charged per residential tap from S45.00 to $50.00 (an 11 % increase) per month effective January I, 2023 usage.
